Al Ain National Museum Museums

Al Ain National Museum, located next to the Sultan or Eastern Fort, is the oldest museum in the UAE. It was built under the direction of HH the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan who believed that a country without a past has “neither a present nor a future”.

The Palace of HH the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan was built in 1937. It was converted into a museum and opened to the public in 2001. The simplicity of the buildings combined with the cool, secluded gardens and the green palm trees, made a deep impression upon all those who had journeyed.
